Taboose Pass - Resupply the Fox Family

Taboose Pass

This August I loaded my pack with food for John, Isabella, Max, and Winston.  My pack was stuffed to the point of splitting open at the seams, with the weight approaching 70 LB.  The following pictures are a sequence of pictures I took as I climbed this pass which started at 5000 ft and toping out at 11,300 ft, over 8 - 9 miles and then another 3 miles to the JMT trail head.

Parking lot at trail head.

Doesn't look like you could possibly walk over that pass from the bottom.

4 miles in, first water crossing, just in time as I was out of water already.

Looking back towards the valley.

Can you see the trail?  Its right there...
hint right side at the bottom moving to the left/middle of the picture.

Again looking back towards the valley.

About 1 or 2 miles from the top.

6 hours later I reached the summit, 6000 + feet gained in 8 or 9 miles (depending on if you believe the Garmin on the way up or down)

amazing views from the summit.  Just 3 more miles to trail head.

In camp...  The food & supplies for the family of 4 (not shown is that food in the bear canister on the right)

Very cool storm surrounded us but we hardly got wet.

Camp setup waiting for dinner (my tent is behind me in this photo).

Picture from camp site.  Storm cleared that evening with the full moon on the rise.

Photo taken on my return from the summit.
